Mud Men

The Mud Men series discover the relationship between man and landscape: people with "invisible" lives who blend into the shapeless urban or natural environment. Migrants, nomads, and exiles living in war territories seem to dissolve into the landscape, they become its inseparable element: tree, brick in the wall, clod of earth.
My perspective brings to light the transformative and fragile quality of the shape-shifting and border-crossing. Dirty, noisy silhouettes are disruptive, insofar as the blanc canvas surface is a definition of a territory marked with borders, both in the artistic and social sense.
